Dominion Virginia Power said
today it will restore power to 90 to 95 percent of the customers left in the
dark by Hurricane Irene by the end of the day Friday.
Dominion said in a news release it will reconnect power to 75 percent of those
affected by Wednesday.
Dominion asked that customers returning to their homes from vacations or other trips to report their own outages so the utility can better get power restored. Outages can be reported by calling 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357). That number should also be used to report downed lines and damaged meters.
