Hampton Park's Semi-Annual Yard Sale will be held the weekend of May 19th and 20th, from 8-12 on Saturday and 12-3 on Sunday. HPMC Dog Swim for Autism

Please join the Hampton Park Men's Club at HP Festival Pool, 8201 Hampton Green Drive, on Saturday May 19th from 11am-3pm to support the Autism Society of Central Virginia. A donation of $10 per dog is required. One dog per person is allowed and dogs must be under owners control at all times. Dog handlers must be 16 years of age or older. Don't forget to bring a few dollars for the raffle. Rain date: May 20th, 2012.

HOA Board of Directors Meeting

The Board of Directors HOA meeting is held the 2nd Tuesday of every month. The next meeting is May 8th at 6:30PM. Residents who wish to participate are welcome to attend. You are given a few minutes at the beginning for homeowner comments, after which you may stay and observe. Meetings are held at the Festival House located at 8201 Hampton Green Drive.

Winterpock Elementary Spring Carnival & Silent Auction

On Saturday, May 5th the Winterpock Elementary School PTA will be holding it's annual Spring Carnival and Silent Auction. The Spring Carnival will include tons of activities for families including games, inflatables, interactive stations, face painting, local celebrities, food, prizes and much more. In addition, the Silent Auction will offer fantastic items ranging from club memberships to jewelry to trips. Local businesses are encouraged to donate items or sponsor this event, as this is a fundraiser for the school and all proceeds go to support the students! Times are tentative and subject to change. Swim Team Registration is now open on-line and will only be done via the website in 2012; however, if you would like to ask a question or drop of a payment, there will be a special registration event at Festival House on Saturday, April 28th, from 2-4 pm. Disco Sports will also be on-site so that your child can try on and purchase swim suits! The first practice will be Monday, May 21st, 2012. Please visit www.hphammerheads.com for more information. 3rd Annual Winterpock PTA Family 5k

Winterpock Elementary School would like to invite members of the local community to spend the morning with friends and family Saturday, March 24th from 8:00 - 11:00 am for their 3rd Annual Winterpock PTA Family 5k. Registration is $15 and includes a custom 5k t-shirt, finishers medal, post-race refreshments, race bib, goody bags and division trophies/ribbons for 1-3rd place finishers. FEMA - Statewide Tornado Drill

Registration is now open for the March 20th Statewide Tornado Drill at www.ReadyVirginia.gov. 51 tornadoes hit Virginia in 2011, the second highest number on record for the state. Most struck during April, but some were recorded in March, May, August, Sept., Oct. & November. Be prepared with this critical safety exercise for any potential tornado events. We encourage you to register and participate in this statewide tornado drill. Learn more about tornado safety and how to hold a drill at www.ReadyVirginia.gov.

Matoaca District Community Meeting

For those interested in attending, Matoaca District Supervisor, Steve Elswick, will be holding a community meeting on Tuesday, March 13th at 6:30 pm. The discussion will be based around Chesterfield County's proposed FY 2013 budget. The speaker will be Allan Carmody, Director of Budget & Management.
